The surviving Armenians of the genocide sought refuge in many countries around the world. They could not return to their ancestral lands, nor could their descendants. Therefore, they are exiles and should not be considered a diaspora since this word means voluntary dispersion.
Hence, the first exiles and all their descendants live in other countries because the first did not leave voluntarily, and their descendants did not have the opportunity to choose either.
This is why I do not place these lines in the “diaspora” section.
