Every time scholars discuss the geopolitics of the Southern Caucasus and how the the big powers control everything, Armenia is rendered into a passive corner as if it has no role whatsoever to play, as if the only thing it can do is wait for others to decide its fate and future [to quote a famous writer, “it can only be represented by others, it can not represent itself.”].

But, are there PROACTIVE steps that the Armenian government can take to have a say in its fate and future and not be solely the passive recipient of decisions made by others for the it? If you were in charge of the government, what policies and steps you would take to control the country’s future for the better? More secure, more prosperous for country’s citizens?

It seems that Armenian thinkers and intellectuals are only satisfied by analyzing and understanding the way things are currently. But that is not enough. They have to suggest solutions so that Armenia does not repeat the same policies and steps that has gotten it where it is presently. If it keeps repeating the same steps, it would have the same results. To paraphrase another famous writer, It is not enough to understand how things are. It is necessary to change things for better as much as possible.

As an Armenian organization, Future Armenian should not be  content with analyzing things. It should find solutions from Armenian point of view on how to  make better what effects Armenia and the Armenian nation.
