COP29 climate summit – Baku, Nov. 2024

How can Armenians worldwide leverage the upcoming COP29 climate summit in Baku to shine a global spotlight on Azerbaijan’s anti-Armenian actions – from the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh and occupation of Armenian territory to the illegal detention/abuse of Armenian hostages?

Please feel free to join the Call to Action from the first Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague Luis Moreno Ocampo. Demand the unconditional release of Armenian Hostages prior to COP29 https://luismorenoocampo.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Armenians_Call_to_Action.pdf

COP29 climate summit will remain overshadowed by Azerbaijan’s violence, ethnic cleansing against Artsakh and ongoing illegal detention and the situation won’t change until there is tangible progress in addressing all the violations Armenians, especially people of Artsakh have faced starting from Lachin blockade. Armenian must prioritize advocacy for the release and humane treatment of Armenian hostages and demand international accountability for Azerbaijan’s actions before COP29 can take place. Before this event every additional pressure on Baku can be another milestone towards justice.
