Summary of the Month – October 2024

We are pleased to share October’s poll results and discussions on Armagora.am, highlighting our efforts to foster meaningful dialogue on topics impacting Armenia’s future.

WEEKLY POLLS (All data as of November 7)

Starting in October, we revamped our weekly poll format to address each topic in-depth, with 5–6 questions per survey. Below is a summary of the poll results:

1. Education

Our first poll in October gathered 283 responses. A notable result emerged from the question about the Academic City: 64% of participants believe that resources should be redirected to more urgent issues.

Do you believe that the construction of the Academic City is justified at this time?

2. Energy Security

This poll had the highest participation, with 402 respondents. In response to the question, “Should Armenia give up its nuclear power plant if this were a condition for peace with Azerbaijan?”, an overwhelming 93% said “No,” citing nuclear energy as essential for Armenia’s long-term security.

Should Armenia give up its nuclear power plant if establishing peace with Azerbaijan depends on this condition?

3. The Third Republic

Our third poll on the successes and challenges of the Third Republic received 174 responses. When asked if a peace treaty would prevent future military threats from Azerbaijan, 45% answered “Definitely not,” with another 31% leaning toward “Probably not.”

In your opinion, will the peace treaty prevent a military attack by Azerbaijanin the coming years?
